"Join a Secondary PGCE programme at the University of Southampton to equip yourself with the very latest education research and practice.

Each programme will provide you with extensive, supervised school or college experience during your study. You’ll engage with research-led approaches to enhance the quality of teaching you can offer your students and begin your career with confidence.

You’ll spend two-thirds of your PGCE in two school placements, starting in October, under the guidance of curriculum mentors who are all experienced classroom teachers. One-third of your time will be spent in university, under the guidance of curriculum tutors, who all have extensive school teaching experience. We will support you with contrasting placement experiences from our well-established partnership schools and colleges.
