Course summary

In a world where businesses operate globally, your degree should be too.

An undergraduate version of an MBA, SPJ London’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is thoughtfully designed to provide you with a strong foundation in Business, with specialisation pathway options in Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Economics or Business AI, while enriching your learning experience through global exposure, industry connections, and hands-on learning.

The BBA degree offers opportunities for global study experiences at the Singapore, Dubai, and Sydney campuses of our sister school, SP Jain Global, supported by a generous institutional travel bursary up to £8,000 for UK Home students. The multi-city learning model exposes students to diverse cultures and international business practices. It also provides students with the opportunity to develop the global network of contacts essential for success in the modern business world. After each academic year, students can undertake an optional internship, which enables them to potentially graduate with multinational work experience, alongside their business degree.

The curriculum is benchmarked against the world’s top universities and prepares competitive graduates for success in international business. Delivered by leading academics and industry experts, the programme emphasises practical, industry-relevant learning through live projects, seminars, and industry-academic collaborations, while integrating sustainability and corporate social responsibility to equip students for responsible global leadership.

Students can select a specialisation from Year 3, targeting their learning to specific business sectors according to their interests and needs, reflected in students’ degree titles and transcripts.

Specialisation Pathways (from Year 3)

  • Finance With a focus on the changing financial landscape in corporate settings, we teach you the skills to develop financial solutions for governments, corporations and high-net-worth individuals.

  • Marketing Employing the most recent principles and practices in contemporary marketing, we give you hands-on experience in your desired field.

  • Entrepreneurship This specialisation fosters a strong entrepreneurial mindset, giving you the skills and knowledge to turn creative ideas into new companies or revenue streams.

  • Business Economics Explore the dynamics of global markets and public policy, gaining the skills to analyse trends, evaluate economic decisions, and provide impactful insights to organisations and governments.

  • Business Analytics & AI* This specialisation focuses on applying AI technologies to business, teaching you to design intelligent solutions, leverage machine learning, and optimise processes for competitive advantage.

At SPJ London, learning goes far beyond the classroom. BBA students gain real-world global exposure through our Global Learning Activities, which include visits to companies such as HSBC, Salesforce, and Deliveroo, as well as behind-the-scenes tours of venues like Wembley Stadium, Lord’s Cricket Ground, and the Bank of England. These experiences offer invaluable insights into how leading organisations are structured, managed, and succeed.

These activities bring together students across cohorts and programmes, encouraging BBA students to network with peers from postgraduate and MBA courses. And it’s not all business. From Universal Studios Singapore to dessert safaris in Dubai, climbing the O2 in London to surfing Bondi Beach in Sydney, our students also enjoy cultural and social experiences that make their global experiences truly unforgettable. Best of all, most activities are included at no extra cost beyond basic travel and subsistence.

Wherever you are, you’ll experience the same approach: hands-on, socially engaging, and globally relevant learning that prepares you for success anywhere in the world.

Assessment method

Assessment goes beyond traditional exams. You are assessed on how well you can apply knowledge, collaborate with others and solve real business problems, reflecting how performance is measured in the modern workplace.

Exams account for just 5% of assessments on the degree programme. Most assessments are applied and workplace-relevant, including case analyses, presentations, reports, debates, simulations and creative projects. Even quantitative and theory-based subjects are assessed through practical activities such as data dashboards, role-plays and problem-solving workshops, building critical thinking, communication and professional confidence.

Class participation contributes 15% of your overall grade. It recognises prepared, meaningful engagement in many ways, from asking and answering questions to contributing to discussions and team activities, not just speaking the loudest, and develops the confidence, communication and collaboration you will use in the workplace.

By the time you graduate, you leave with a portfolio of practical work that demonstrates your ability to think critically, collaborate effectively and deliver real outcomes – skills valued by employers across industries.

Regional Immersion Project

A key feature of the degree, the Regional Immersion Project (RIP) is where teams apply classroom learning to live business and societal challenges in different global markets, building analytical thinking, teamwork and cultural awareness.

Examples of recent RIP topics:

  • London: Sustainable fashion and consumer ethics in the UK market

  • Singapore: The rise of agri-tech and food security

  • Dubai: Smart city development and renewable energy transformation

  • Sydney: Ocean sustainability and coastal tourism

These projects allow you to explore how business decisions interact with policy, technology, sustainability and society in different regional contexts.

Action Learning Project

In your final year, you complete an Action Learning Project (ALP), an applied capstone that brings together everything you have learned. Unlike a traditional research dissertation, the ALP focuses on real-world problem-solving, reflecting the skills and ways of working expected in modern organisations.

Examples of ALP topics:

  • Strategic Business Transformation: Developing data-driven growth and innovation strategies for SMEs or start-ups

  • Digital Innovation & AI Application: Creating AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making

  • Inclusive Leadership & Workplace Design: Reimagining organisational policies to support diversity and neuro-inclusion
