What is MMath Master of Mathematics?

Mathematics is the fundamental language of science, technology and finance. This integrated master's course offers four years of in-depth study of higher-level mathematics. Our graduates find themselves with many versatile and exciting career options.

You’ll begin by developing your existing mathematical knowledge, before moving onto more advanced subjects. The course has a flexible format, with optional modules allowing you to tailor your studies to your interests. As well as specialist modules in pure maths, applied maths and statistics, you can explore other subjects, like environmental sciences, physics, computing and business.

In your final year, you’ll complete a substantial individual research project with guidance from an expert academic supervisor. This project builds advanced research skills, critical thinking and confidence in presenting your ideas to a professional audience.
