Computer Science and Music Production at Keele is designed for students who want to apply computing to real-world challenges while exploring creativity in production and design. You’ll gain both academic knowledge and practical experience, developing skills that are valuable across technology, media and the creative industries.

The course combines the theory behind computing with hands-on programming and software development, alongside industry-relevant training in music production, sound design, audio-visual work and music technology.  

Throughout the programme, you’ll gain technical, creative and analytical skills using industry-standard tools, software and hardware. You’ll also explore cultural and critical perspectives, with opportunities for placements and professional engagement. In your final year, you can shape your studies through a major project in computing, music production, or a combination of both.
