Are you a visionary with a passion for the creative industries and a drive to innovate and build?
The MSc in Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship is designed for the next generation of creative leaders, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs who want to transform their ideas into impactful ventures.
This programme is built on the principle of learning by doing, moving beyond traditional lectures and exams. Our curriculum focuses on applying entrepreneurial methods directly to real-world creative challenges. Through collaborative, project-based work with industry partners, you will gain the hands-on experience and critical skills needed to design, launch, and scale innovative ventures in sectors like film, media, digital arts, fashion, gaming and more.
Programme highlights:
From Creative Talent to Industry Leader: We welcome students from any creative discipline. This programme will teach you how to apply your existing skills to real-world commercial challenges, whether your goal is to launch a brand, establish a collective, or work as an innovator within a larger creative organisation.
Practice-Led, Industry-Connected: Our curriculum is built around teamwork and solving real-world challenges, not exams. This immersive approach ensures you gain invaluable practical experience in taking a creative concept from idea to market.
Harness AI for Creative Power: Explore how to use Generative AI tools ethically and responsibly to amplify your creative vision. Learn to leverage this powerful technology to enhance your artistic practice and engage audiences in new and innovative ways.
Education Excellence: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is an accredited Centre of Excellence (IOEE), meaning upon graduation you will automatically qualify for an additional professional qualification—an Advance Diploma in Entrepreneurship. The Centre is also a proud national award winner for our authentic, real-world assessment, recently receiving the AGCAS Academic Employability Award (2025).
Launch in a Global Creative Hub: Bristol is a globally recognised hub for the creative industries and is ranked one of the top five best places in the UK to start-up outside of London (Startup Cities Index, 2022). This offers an exceptional environment to build your professional network and launch your creative career.
Teaching for postgraduate programmes in the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will be delivered at our new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, opening 2026. Here, a new Centre student hub, Active Learning Studios, a hands-on Maker Space and event spaces will provide the backdrop for challenge-led learning and enhanced links with businesses.
