About the course

LLB (Hons) Law with Politics combines the study of core legal principles with an in depth understanding of political systems, institutions and ideas. You’ll explore how law and politics interact at national and international levels, examining how legal frameworks are shaped by political processes and power.

This course is designed for students who want a qualifying law degree with a strong political dimension, whether you are aiming for a legal career, work in policy or public affairs, or further academic study.

What you’ll study

You’ll build a solid foundation in law and politics, while gaining professional skills valued across legal, public and third sector organisations, including legal research, policy analysis, critical reasoning, argument construction and professional communication.

Modules offered can vary each year but may include:
