You’ll gain a strong grounding in the key areas of law and criminology through the study of the foundations of legal knowledge subjects and key criminological concepts in your first two years. In your final year, you’ll be able to tailor your degree to your interests and career goals - choosing to specialise in either law or criminology topics, or a range of both.

With law and criminology at Sheffield, you have the option to study your third year abroad in one of our 30+ partner universities, for an insight into another legal system. Wherever you choose to study abroad, you’ll be taught in English.

You can gain real-world experience alongside your studies right here, with our various pro bono schemes or an optional year in industry. Do real client work, advise start-ups and small businesses, and make a positive difference to the people of Sheffield.
