Design for Film and Television

Created in close collaboration with the film and television industry, this course will prepare you for a successful career as a production designer, art director or other art department role. Learn a wide range of art department skills including set design, visualisation and drafting.

Key features

• Gain hands-on industry experience: You’ll have the opportunity to complete a work experience placement of up to a year in length. Dependent on the duration of your placement, you could gain an additional Diploma or Certificate in Professional Practice.

• Learn from award-winning designers: Gain insights from industry experts through lectures, workshops and live briefs. Recent guests include Oscar-nominated Maria Djurkovic (The Imitation Game) and BAFTA-winner Charles Wood (Doctor Strange).

• Take part in global opportunities: Apply for an international exchange or join exciting study trips. Previous destinations include Luc Besson studios in Paris, Harry Potter Studios, and behind-the-scenes tours of major London film sets.
