Discover our BSc (Hons) Live Sound, Lighting and Performance degree, a standout choice within our Undergraduate Music Programme.
This dynamic course delves into a wide array of sound principles, including acoustics and capture, sound reinforcement, music studio design, signal theory, processing, sound synthesis, audio electronics, networked audio, multichannel sound, and storage. Once you've mastered the fundamentals, you'll shift your focus to venue-based audio systems, covering everything from concert halls to vibrant festivals.
But that's not all! Alongside audio systems, you'll explore video, lighting, augmentation, and virtual reality from the perspective of live events and broadcasting.
Throughout this journey, you'll collaborate extensively with peers from the School of Creative Arts, connecting with students in Music Production, Audio Engineering, and Songwriting. These shared experiences reflect the collaborative nature of the industry.
It's worth noting that many of our Music department faculty are active players in the music industry, whether as producers, songwriters, composers, remixers, sound designers, or technology journalists. They bring their valuable experience and expertise into the teaching environment, enriching your educational journey.
