This course is suitable for people looking to develop their career working with children and young people in education and/or care settings. Previous students are now working in education, nursery care and local authority positions such as children's services, safeguarding and foster care services.
Progression routes include a BA(Hons) Education (top-up) at the University Centre Wigan & Leigh College or UCLan and a BA(Hons) Children, Schools and Families at UCLan.

This Higher Technical Qualification is approved against occupational standards decided by employers.

The course is assignment based with no exams. Assessments include; interpreting observations, case studies, reports, presentations, essays, research projects and the production of Professional Development Portfolios. *UCLan are currently reviewing this course and some module titles may change.
