Course summary

The course is designed specifically for those individuals currently working , or wishing to work, in the construction industry in a professional capacity.

You will study a range of modules to gain an insight into the world of construction including construction materials, the technologies of construction, health and safety, construction and the environment, measurement and quantity surveying.

This course should improve your career prospects and is also the first stage of working towards professional qualifications and the relevant chartered status. The course aims to give you the flexibility, knowledge, and motivation to progress on to a relevant degree course/specialism.

Modules

You will study a range of modules to gain an insight into the world of construction including construction materials, the technologies of construction, health and safety, construction and the environment, measurement and quantity surveying.

Assessment method

Modules studied are assessed by a combination of methods including coursework and presentations.

We welcome applications from people who have:

Achievement of the Access to HE Diploma including at least 30 Level 3 credits in Maths and Science
GCSE grades 9 to 4 to include English, Science and Maths at grade 6 or above
IELTS for overseas students 6.0 or equivalent
24-48 UCAS points
BTEC Level 3 qualification in Construction and Built Environment
Related, relevant work experience at the required level for an acceptable period of time will be considered.
