The BTEC Higher National Certificate in Engineering is designed to address an increasing need for high-quality professional and technical education pathways whilst providing you with a clear line of sight to employment or progression to further higher education study.

You can choose the route of either Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

In order to study this course you will need to have a previously studied and passed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering. You do not necessarily need to have studied this qualification at Blackburn University Centre.

If you wish to study the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering you should complete the Higher National Certificate first, in your second year of full-time study you will then complete your HND.
