Gain near-native language skills and develop an intercultural understanding of the humanities through this versatile degree. UCL’s School of Slavonic and East European Studies (SSEES) is the largest department in the UK for the study of Ukrainian. Ukraine is one of Europe’s oldest and most complex countries. Its territory and history have constantly been occupied and rewritten. This degree offers the opportunity to gain excellent language skills, experience a year abroad, and acquire profound knowledge of Ukrainian literature, history and culture that will prepare you for a wide variety of careers.
