Course summary

This is one of several specialist routes available in our BA (Honours) Social Sciences. You'll study core modules in interdisciplinary social science and sociology, giving you a firm grounding in ideas central to the social sciences. This will be combined with exploring contemporary economic issues and learning the theory needed to engage in current economic debates. You'll analyse and assess different types of evidence, including economic data, and carry out an economics project. On completion, you’ll be able to apply economic and social theories and analytical techniques to topics that affect individuals and society.
