Our BSc (Hons) Equine Science (with Foundation Year) starts with the necessary scientific and mathematical skills to prepare you for degree-level study. Passing the foundation year leads to our Equine Science degree run in partnership with Abingdon and Witney College. You'll study at Oxford Brookes except for two modules in Year one to be taught at the College’s commercial thoroughbred stud.
We run an equitation society, where you can join and compete even if you do not have a horse.
You will graduate with an understanding of scientific principles and management theories, as well as skills to implement these.

If you choose the placement option, you can spend your third year on a work placement. During your placement there is a fee which is paid to the university. It covers the cost of your placement tutor, and the support we provide whilst looking for a placement position and during your placement role.
