Web Development and Security (with integrated foundation year)

Web Development at Aberystwyth University focuses on the Internet and its implications and applications for organisations. The Internet is of central importance to the strategies of many large organisations, and there is a great need for people who understand networks and who can also construct effective internet solutions. This requires building websites to professional standards.

The engineering of such systems involves considering the needs of users and the organisation and creating a professional response based on understanding of the relevant technologies. On this course you will explore these in a supportive learning environment.

The first year of this foundation degree will be a gentle introduction to the subject. After the first year the course follows the same core subjects as the H602 BSc Web Development degree.

As a Computer Science graduate from Aberystwyth, you will have acquired the skills and experience necessary for most computing-based work, and especially for work in the software industry.
