Designed for non-registered healthcare practitioners, this two-year Master’s degree course will give you the skills and experience to launch a rewarding career in this essential profession.
Our MSc in Mental Health Nursing will give you the theoretical and practical knowledge you need to provide high quality, compassionate nursing care for improving mental health and well being.
During the course, you will improve the care and treatment of people using mental health services their carers and their families.
You will be taught by qualified nurses, doctors and allied health professionals, many of whom continue to work in clinical practice. Their mix of academic expertise and real world experience creates a rich and supportive learning environment, helping you become a confident and capable nurse.
We have strong links with Welsh health boards and a wide network of health and social care partners. This means you will have access to high quality clinical placements in both urban and rural settings, gaining varied and meaningful practice experience throughout your training.
Please note, this course is not open to international students at this time.
Modules may include: Introduction to Nursing (Mental Health); Continuing Conditions and Palliative Care (Mental Health); Dissertation (Mental Health); Managing Complex Care in Deteriorating Situations (Mental Health); Leadership and Decision-Making (Mental Health).
