Course summary

Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Education and Qualified Teacher Status merges computer science knowledge with hands-on experience in school settings. Throughout this three-year course, you will study core technical subjects, while gaining a profound understanding of the impact of technology on society.

Immerse yourself in software engineering, programming languages, computer systems, architecture, and data structures. Work with specialised computer science students for two-thirds of your programme.
Beyond technical expertise and to improve your teaching skills, you'll take part in regular school experiences from your first year.
Get a comprehensive teaching qualification in just three years. UEL is the only provider of this type of programme in London. By eliminating the need for a postgraduate certification you will be ready to teach computer science in schools upon graduation.
