Course summary

Health psychology is a rapidly growing field that applies psychology to promote health, understand illness, and improve healthcare systems.

Accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), our course is designed in collaboration with leading researchers and practitioners, ensuring high-quality content and real-world relevance. You'll explore how psychology can be applied to health and illness, with a focus on modern healthcare systems. You will also receive training in quantitative and qualitative research methods so that you are able to evaluate, plan and conduct research.

The course emphasises transferable skills for global careers and enhances your understanding of ethics and reflective practice to boost your employability in health and social care. Graduates with a BPS-accredited psychology degree can progress to stage two training in Health Psychology, leading to registration as a practitioner psychologist.
