With emerging trends such as sustainable tourism, digital marketing, and experiential events, this sector offers exciting and evolving career prospects both domestically and internationally, across various sectors. These include working for multinational corporations, local organisations, world heritage sites, and national parks. Additionally, it offers prospects in conferencing and events management, tourism and planning consultancy, tour operations, the airline industry,
marketing, hospitality, retail and human resource management.
The course includes topics such as Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, International Tour Operations, Event Operational Practices, Strategic Event Management, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, Contemporary Themes, Dark Tourism and Developing Niche Markets.
You will usually have to complete portfolios, presentations and coursework as you progress, and one module requires an exam at the end of the academic year.
