Computing & IT and Psychology (Q67-CITP)

This is one of several subject combinations available in our BSc (Honours) Computing & IT and a second subject (Q67). This degree equips you with both technical computing skills and psychological insights, preparing you for roles that bridge technology and human behaviour. You’ll study core computing modules alongside psychology topics such as human-computer interaction and online behaviour. As you progress, you’ll choose a computing focus and apply your learning through a project that integrates both disciplines. On completion, you'll be well-prepared for careers in areas like UX design, digital health, AI ethics, and tech policy.

Course Modules

This computing and IT degree has three stages, each comprising 120 credits.

Stage 1: You’ll study two 30-credit fundamental computing & IT modules and one 60-credit psychology module introducing classic and contemporary psychology.

Stage 2: You’ll choose one of four computing and IT focus areas from communications and networking, computer science, software development and web development, and a 60-credit psychology module exploring the application of classic and contemporary theories.

Stage 3: you’ll choose one 30-credit computing & IT module, study one 60-credit psychology module and complete a 30-credit computing & IT project module.
