About the course

Psychology Foundation Studies: Certificate of Higher Education is a one year programme designed to prepare you for undergraduate study or a career in psychology. It introduces you to core psychological theories and research methods while helping you build the academic skills required for degree level study.

This course is suitable if you do not yet meet the entry requirements for direct entry onto a psychology degree. You will strengthen your study skills and gain an understanding of key perspectives, issues and debates within the discipline.

What you’ll study

You’ll build a solid foundation in psychology, while gaining professional skills valued across health, education and community sectors, including academic writing, research methods, data analysis, critical thinking and scientific reasoning.

Modules offered can vary each year but may include:
