Our BSc Industrial Economics gives you a unique opportunity to explore how economics applies to real-world business challenges. You’ll learn how firms operate in competitive markets, how government policies shape business decisions, and how data can be used to drive innovation and strategy.

Combining the rigour of an economics degree with practical insights into firms, markets, and competition, this course equips you with the skills and knowledge to understand and influence the decisions that shape today’s global economy. Established over 75 years ago, our BSc Industrial Economics has a proven track record of producing influential leaders across industries, including Kevin Ellis (PwC UK), Sir William Adderley (Dunelm) NS Sir William Timpson CBE (Timpson).

For presessional English or one-year foundation courses, you must take IELTS for UKVI to meet visa regulations. If you need support to meet the required level, you may be able to attend a Presessional English for Academic Purposes (PEAP) course. Our Centre for English Language Education is accredited by the British Council for the teaching of English in the UK. If you successfully complete your presessional course to the required level, you can then progress to your degree course. This means that you won't need to retake IELTS or equivalent.
