Course summary

If you're a people person with excellent organisational skills, this course could be your first step towards a successful events management career.

This events management degree helps you understand how to design, finance, market and evaluate events of all scales in an industry worth over £70 billion in the UK. You’ll study in London, near to world-class event venues such as the ExCeL Centre, O2 Arena, and the Olympic Stadium.

The course offers modules in entrepreneurship and innovation (many of our graduates go on to set up their own businesses and if you want to do that while you study with us, we can support you!); event experience design; project management; digital marketing; festivals and live entertainment events; crowd management and leadership. These areas give you the skills and knowledge you need to create successful events. You will also organise one event per year of study on the full-time degree - don't worry, we'll teach you how to do it - and you'll also get more hands-on experience through the chance to volunteer or get work experience on live events with our wide range of contacts across London and beyond.

This degree has been formally recognised by the Institute of Event Management (IEM) through their Higher Education Course Recognition Programme, aligning our academic approach with key industry standards.

We accept A Levels, T Levels, BTECs, AAQs, Access to HE and all other qualifications with UCAS Tariff points.

We make Contextual offers to this programme. Applicants that meet specific eligibility criteria will be made a contextual offer with a reduced tariff of up to 16 UCAS Tariff points. Other entry requirements such as GCSEs, Interview, etc., will still need to be met. For further information, please see our Contextual Admissions policy.

We welcome applications from students who have completed one or two years of study at Level 4 or Level 5 on a relevant degree programme at another institution and wish to transfer into Year 2 or Year 3 at the University of Greenwich.
