Course summary

Fast-track your journey into people management. Build strategic and empowering leadership skills on our integrated master’s degree in human resource management.

People sit at the heart of every organisation. How businesses attract, develop, support, and retain talent can shape their success. On this integrated master's degree, you’ll explore the strategies, decisions, and challenges involved in managing people in today’s evolving workplace.

Our integrated MSci Human Resource Management combines undergraduate and postgraduate study into one degree, enabling you to graduate with a master’s-level qualification while developing the knowledge, skills, and professional credibility sought by employers.

You’ll explore the core pillars of people management, including resourcing, learning and development, employee relations, and performance management. Alongside this, you’ll examine contemporary issues such as employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, hybrid working, and ethical leadership in local and global contexts.

As part of this course, you’ll:

  • Develop your self-awareness, professional confidence, and leadership capabilities

  • Explore ethical, global, and strategic people management challenges

  • Apply HR theory and business knowledge to real organisational situations

  • Build strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills that you’ll lean on throughout your career

  • Learn to evaluate evidence, communicate effectively, and make informed recommendations

When you graduate, you’ll be prepared to make your mark by influencing people strategy, supporting organisational success, and pursuing a career in HR management and leadership.
