Fashion marketing and branding is fast-paced and continually evolving. At the heart of this course is the understanding that creativity is an essential part of business and brand success.

Strategic business minds and fashion marketers have always been central to elevating iconic labels to the enduringly desirable brands they are today. In a sector where consumer habits can change overnight, clever marketing and distinct branding are vital.

This course is designed by and for creative marketeers, business innovators and fashion lifestyle enthusiasts. It’s about reconstructing the iconic, championing sustainable practice, and bringing fresh initiative to the forefront of fashion branding and marketing. Become an agile, creative and strategic visionary thinker; stand out in a complex global business environment; and prepare for a lucrative career in an industry like no other – where strategy meets style.

Key features

Gain hands-on industry experience: You’ll have the opportunity to complete a work experience placement of up to a year in length. Dependent on the duration of your placement, you could gain an additional Diploma or Certificate in Professional Practice.
Explore fashion capitals: Immerse yourself in the global fashion scene. Attend creative events, visit iconic fashion houses and explore industry premises across the UK and Europe’s fashion capitals.
Study abroad at leading fashion schools: Spend a semester studying abroad at prestigious institutions like the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. Gain international experience, broaden your perspective, and enhance your understanding of global fashion markets.
Work on live briefs with leading brands: Gain real-world experience by working on live briefs for high-profile brands like Adidas, Next, and Aspinal of London. Build your portfolio, make key industry connections, and apply your skills to creative marketing campaigns.

Modules

  • Visual and Cultural Influences (20 credit points, first half of the year)
  • Principles of Fashion Marketing and Branding (80 credit points, full year)
  • Visual and Self Identity (20 credit points, second half of the year)

[Year Two]

  • Marketing Strategy and Insight (40 credit points, first half of the year)
  • Brand Environments (40 credit points, second half of the year)
    This module has two options, choose from:

Option 1: Brand Development and Promotion gives you the opportunity to work in collaboration with another course from NTU to launch and craft a new brand which fuses differing disciplines together.

Option 2: Placement in Professional Practice is a work placement option giving you the chance to apply theory to real-life business situations and evidenced solutions while gaining first-hand experience of the roles and responsibilities within the fashion and lifestyle industry.

  • Co Lab: Research, Exploration and Risk-taking (20 credit points, second half of the year)

T Level

We will consider T Levels for entry to this course, either as stand-alone qualifications or in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications, in accordance with the specified course tariff points.

This is called a contextual offer and we get data from UCAS to make these decisions.
