Taught in the evening and designed to support paid or voluntary work in the sector, you’ll continue to learn key skills that employers value while strengthening your academic understanding. With access to our simulated early years learning environment and Forest School Training Centre, you’ll find lots of creative opportunities to hone your skills.

There’s a high demand for well-trained childhood education practitioners, and the key skills you learn here will help you build your career in the early years sector.

You can go on to help support children with additional needs, secure work as an early years support worker, or work as an early years or community services practitioner. This course is also a pathway to further postgraduate study in a range of specialisms.

Written assessment typically includes exams and multiple choice tests.

Practical is an assessment of your skills and competencies. This could include presentations, school experience, work experience or laboratory work.

Coursework typically includes essays, written assignments, dissertations, research projects or producing a portfolio of your work.
