128 - 144 pointsIncluding a minimum grade B in Maths and a minimum grade C in either Physics or Electronics. General Studies and Key Skills not normally accepted).
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
DDM - DDDIn Engineering. Other subject areas may be considered on a case by case basis.

Minimum of 5 Scottish Highers - some subject specific grades/Advanced Highers may be required.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Pass required, including H5 in Maths and H5 in Physics. (Other subject areas may be considered on a case by case basis.)
Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)
We will accept this qualification in conjunction with other level 3 qualifications.
Points can include a relevant Extended Project (EPQ) but must include a minimum 2 full A-levels, or equivalent. Please contact us for more information.

We allow you flexibility in meeting our entry requirements and accept a broad range of qualifications. We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as City & Guilds, Access and Cambridge Technical Diplomas.
Level 3 qualifications in the following subjects will be considered for this course providing there is sufficient mathematics content: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Aeronautical Engineering. Similar subject areas and equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
