For all courses, you must select at least one specialism from the 'primary' list. For those studying primary/secondary pathways, two instruments may be selected – one from the 'primary' list and one from the 'secondary' list. Joint pathway students may select any two instruments from either list.
The following entry points are available for this course:
International applicants whose first language is not English will need to gain an IELTS English language qualification. For more information, please see our website: https://www.rwcmd.ac.uk/englishlanguage
Entry to the postgraduate composer-performer programme is by interview. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a level of ability appropriate for professional training. Applicants will be asked to send a portfolio of their creative work to discuss at interview and attend an audition for their secondary performance specialism.
Minimum entry requirements usually include an undergraduate degree in music (2:1 or higher for Masters applicants) or an equivalent qualification. Candidates who have been studying or working in another field will be considered.
