Our BA (Hons) Product Design (with Integrated Foundation Year) is a four year degree programme, including a foundation year to help develop your creativity before you embark on year one of a degree.
Develop your design practice and follow your own ideas as you create new, or improved, bespoke products and furniture on our exciting BA (Hons) Product & Furniture Design degree course at UCA Canterbury.
You’ll work alongside fellow design students to help you better understand the role of your products within a wider space, and how the product lives within any given ecosystem of not only space, but also style and technology, and cost and value. You’ll also learn to understand your audience and identify a gap in the market before filling it with your ideas and prototypes.
Guided by our team of academics and technical staff, who are actively creating their own work in the industry, and with access to our extensive workshop facilities – complete with tools and equipment for working wood, metal, and plastics – you can expect to be making all the time, right from day one of your studies.
