This degree is structured around three critical themes:

  • Social justice, inequality and lived experience of diverse communities

  • Contemporary debates that examine the relationship between education policy, democracy and the state

  • Critical Reflection and Research

Completion of an independent research project will see you develop as a researcher, enabling you to examine issues that are key to your interests and professional career.

A minimum of 64 from two A Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies

GCSE/National 4/National 5

GCSE English Language at Grade 4 or above (Grade C for GCSEs taken before 2017) or equivalent. Key Skills Level 2, Functional Skills Level 2 and the Certificate in Adult Literacy are accepted in place of GCSEs.
