Acting for Screen (with placement year)

Course summary

This course encompasses a range of contemporary performance disciplines, from drama for feature film and presenting for television, through to promotion and influencing on the web and through social media. You will have the opportunity to develop the skills and attributes to excel in these areas whilst studying amongst a thriving community of diverse creatives.

As a specialist arts university we have the resources and expertise to provide you with the best possible education in acting for screen. You will experience working in a film studio with access to production equipment and rehearsal space, and have the opportunity to work with experienced industry professionals, who will provide you with feedback and guidance.

You will be encouraged to gain professional practice opportunities wherever possible, through working with students on our Filmmaking course or engagement with external productions. We will support you to develop networking skills and professional contacts. Working in an environment that includes filmmakers, musicians, animators, creative writers, marketeers, fine artists, and designers across a range of disciplines will provide opportunities for exciting collaborations and creative stimulation.
