Course summary

The BTEC HNC/HND in Performance provides students with a strong, multidisciplinary foundation in theory and practice, equipping them with the essential tools to develop their craft and navigate the Performing Arts industry as a performer or creator in Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre practice. This could include working with media, film, site specific performance, physical theatre, photography, textiles and many other collaborative approaches to enhance a “portfolio” career in the creative industries.

Through a combination of research, practical exercises and live/recorded performances, students will engage with a range of performance methodologies. They will refine their technical execution, develop their ability to respond instinctively to direction, and cultivate a professional work ethic essential for sustaining a career in the arts.
