Course summary

Effective leadership and management in healthcare require deliberate effort and the right skills. This practice-focused course is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and qualities needed to become an effective healthcare leader. It aims to build your confidence in trying new and creative approaches, managing complex leadership situations, and improving patient and service outcomes.

The course is suitable for all healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, doctors, physiotherapists, radiographers, and healthcare scientists, who wish to enhance their leadership capabilities.

The course is available full-time or part-time, offering the following awards:
Full-time:

  • Postgraduate Diploma: four modules over eight months

  • Master’s: four modules plus a dissertation over one year

Part-time:

  • Postgraduate Diploma: four modules over two years

  • Master’s: four modules plus a dissertation over three years
