Course summary

Medical Neuroscience is the study of the brain and nervous system, examining its structure, function, chemistry, and physiology to better understand medical conditions relating to the nervous system and working as a framework for understanding human behaviour.

Our MSc Neuroscience degree explores the theoretical and practical aspects of Medical Neuroscience. You will learn through an integrated blend of on-campus evidence-based teaching, online learning, and practical laboratory training, supported by our research-active academics.

This approach ensures you build strong conceptual knowledge while also gaining the technical competencies required for neuroanatomy, laboratory analysis, neurological assessment, data analysis, and research design, preparing you for a wide range of professional and academic pathways in the life sciences and healthcare sectors.
