Course summary

Why choose Biomedical Science (Medical Genomics) MSc at Middlesex?

Medical Genomics studies genomes and their applications in medicine. It uses genomic data to understand the genetic basis of diseases, predict individual risk, guide personalized treatments, track infectious disease outbreaks, combat antibiotic resistance, and develop targeted diagnostics and therapies—ultimately transforming how we prevent, diagnose, and treat both inherited conditions and infectious diseases. It sits at the intersection of biology, medicine, data science, and technology, empowering Medical Genomicists to support healthcare professionals by translating complex genetic data into meaningful clinical decisions.
