Games Art (London)

This course is delivered at our London campus in Whitechapel, at the centre of the UK’s games and creative industries.

Create the worlds players get lost in.

You’ll develop the artistic and technical skills to design characters, environments and assets for games. Working with industry-standard tools, you’ll learn how to build high-quality 3D work that translates from concept through to real-time engines.

The course is built around studio-based projects and collaboration, reflecting how games are made in industry. You’ll work alongside designers, animators and VFX artists, contributing to playable projects and building a portfolio that shows both your creativity and technical ability.

You’ll study in East London, surrounded by studios, agencies and digital companies, giving you direct exposure to the industry.

You’ll graduate with a professional portfolio and showreel, ready for roles such as character artist, 3D modeller, environment artist or concept artist within the games and creative industries.

Optional Placement Year (Sandwich)*
We have an option for all of our students to undertake a placement year (Sandwich) and allow you to decide whether this is right for you once you have completed years 1 and 2 of your course. This time spent working in industry provides our students with crucial work experience, which is highly prized and much sought after by employers upon graduation. If you are successful in securing a placement you will have the chance to gain an additional Certificate or Diploma in Professional Practice, dependent on duration.

If you choose to take the sandwich route option, you will still need to apply for this course with the full-time UCAS code.
