There is an increased need for professionally managed purchasing and supply chain management, to ensure businesses are able to succeed and provide to their customers. The MSc Supply Chain and Logistics Management programme has been uniquely designed to provide a rigorous and systematic understanding of the field, equipping you with the knowledge and wide range of skills required to become a credible supply chain professional. The course focuses on:
the broad areas of business, supply chain management, storage and warehouse management, financial decisions in supply chain, people management, transportation techniques
procurement and inventory management
logistics and operations strategy
globalisation and regulations
case studies, including analysis and synthesis, contribution to profitability, and understanding of purchasing, procurement and logistics.
critical review of strategic value, procurement and supply chain management.
Core modules: Manufacturing information systems; human resource management; manufacturing strategy; legal aspects of supply chain.

An Honours degree (at least 2.2 or above) in an engineering discipline or an appropriate science or any other related discipline where the subject content does not overlap with this programme to any substantial extent. International qualifications will be considered on the basis of their equivalence to UK qualifications, typically guided by a resource such as the National Academic Recognition Information centre (NARIC). Candidates will be required to demonstrate a suitable level of proficiency in written and spoken English. An IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) would typically be required from candidates whose first language is not English. Candidates who do not satisfy these requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
