This award delivers an in-depth exploration of biomolecular science, anatomy and physiology, and the mechanisms of human health and disease, with a strong emphasis on applying scientific knowledge to clinical practice, bridging the gap between laboratory research and patient care. The course has strong focus on applied, real world learning and is closely aligned with current developments in biomedical research.
The course offers a distinctive interdisciplinary approach, combining systems of the human body, and biomedical science, with embedded development of research and professional skills opportunities. You will study key biomedical disciplines, alongside evolving topics such as emerging infectious disease, personalised and regenerative medicine and neurotechnology.

On completion, you will be eligible to apply for UK or international graduate-entry medicine programmes.
A secure route to medicine on successful completion of this degree with a 2:1 classification or above; with our partner, the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC), you will be guaranteed a place on their 4-year Doctor of Medicine international degree delivered at their Preston campus, UK*
