Course summary

On this course you will be working with experienced design professionals who will help you to refine your analytical, creative and problem solving skills. Live project work with external clients will be combined with internally set project briefs. The course has a focus on employability and aims to equip you with the specific skills demanded by employers in the creative sector.

Many of our previous students have gained careers in areas including - Marketing, Interior Design,UK wide Graphic Design Agencies, Illustration, Teaching and as self-employed Graphic Designers.
Completing the HND can also lead to a Level 6 ‘Top-Up’ year to gain a full BA Degree. Support for applications can be provided by the University Centre and course team.

To begin this course you will need a Higher National Certificate in an Art & Design subject, or relevant professional experience. Entry will also be subject to a successful interview, where you will be asked to present a portfolio of your previous work.

Entry is subject to a successful interview, where you will be asked to bring along a portfolio of your existing work. We welcome applications from mature students who will be considered individually on experience rather than qualifications.
