You won’t simply learn about sociological theories, you’ll discover how these ideas help us make sense of complex issues such as terrorism, nationalism, sexism, surveillance, globalisation and multiculturalism. Our approach to research methods is equally hands-on: you’ll see how these tools are used every day by marketing agencies, governments, local councils, PR companies, polling organisations and more, giving you a real-world perspective on how sociological knowledge shapes society.
This degree highlights the power and relevance of sociology far beyond the classroom.
