This postgraduate architecture course is available to graduates from Northumbria University’s BA (Hons) Interior Architecture degree only

Within this postgraduate Interior Architecture course, you will work in a critical and self-directed manner, developing personal and professional attitudes towards architecture and creative reuse. You will develop ownership of your investigations in design, theory, construction technology, environment, management and communication, benefiting from our established design studio culture and our student-centred approach to learning. You will work as part of a postgraduate community, sharing knowledge, techniques and replicating the way you work in architectural practice.

Assessment method

Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods, which may include lectures, seminars, problem-based workshops, case discussions, practical activities, group work and tutorials. Teaching is backed up by a well-designed support system that will underpin your learning journey. You will have access to a Guidance Tutor with whom you can discuss any academic issues. Extensive feedback from both tutors and peers is built into the course.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in BA (Hons) Interior Architecture at Northumbria University, including a pass in all level 5 and 6 modules (in compliance with ARB regulations), and a minimum of three months continuous associated professional practice.

International applicants are required to have a minimum overall IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with 5.5 in each component (or approved equivalent*).
