Experience a versatile legal education, tailored for a potential legal career as a barrister, solicitor, CILEX lawyer or other related paths.

Develop the necessary legal skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your respective law qualification. The Law with Professional Practice MLaw course is designed to prepare you for the Solicitor’s Qualifying Examinations (SQE) and CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ) professional stage.

  • Acquire the skills and knowledge needed if you have legal practice as a clear career goal in mind.

  • The course blends both academic study and simulated professional practice throughout to provide you with the foundation upon which to build a successful legal career.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the professional ethics and codes of conduct necessary to thrive in legal practice.

  • On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded both the Law with Professional Practice MLaw and Law with Professional Practice LLB (Hons) awards.

  • Immerse yourself in criminal law by following a criminal case, from the commission of an offence through preparation for trial and finally sentencing, through an authentic case simulation.

  • Hone your criminal advocacy skills in our mock courtroom, known as the ‘moot room’. Apply to volunteer in one of our three pro bono clinics with the Central England Law Centre, where selected students can gain practical legal experience under the supervision of trained solicitors and lawyers.

  • Grow your network by getting to know members of the legal industry through our ‘Raising the Bar’ scheme. This is designed to help you gain insights into the legal field, access events where you can connect with other professionals and build your legal networks.
