The Artificial Intelligence MSc programme combines a wide choice of advanced topics in computer science with specialist modules relating to computational intelligence, including logic-based, connectionist and evolutionary artificial intelligence, inspirations from the natural world, practical applications and the philosophy of machine reasoning.
The programme is aimed at graduates considering a career in research and development, and would also provide an excellent foundation for PhD study.
You can choose to take this course with the addition of a year in industry.
Year in Industry option
You gain work experience through a year in industry. We have strong links with industry including IBM, Microsoft and Oracle and our dedicated placement team help you gain a suitable paid position and provide support throughout.
You can also access this course through an Internationally Incorporated Masters (IIM) specifically designed for the needs of international students.
Most programmes will require you to study a combination of compulsory and optional modules.
A first, 2.1 or good 2.2 honours degree (or equivalent) in computing or a related subject.
All applicants are considered on an individual basis and additional qualifications, professional qualifications and experience will also be taken into account when considering applications.
