Course summary
The Bachelor of Arts Education in Inclusive Music Education is a unique 3-year programme that combines the study of musicianship, critical understanding of contextual issues, conceptual understanding of education and policy and practical application of these across multiple settings within education and community. Working with our strong education partners, this programme covers the spectrum of settings that a musician may work within, both nationally and globally, replicating real-world careers as music educators and community musicians.
You will learn to be animateurs and music facilitators, working alongside our performance students who bring high level live music performance into the settings where you will be learning how to lead and manage.

For all courses, you must select at least one specialism from the 'primary' list. For those studying primary/secondary pathways, two instruments may be selected – one from the 'primary' list and one from the 'secondary' list. Joint pathway students may select any two instruments from either list.

- All applicants must have achieved a pass or higher in Grade 8 practical or performance, or equivalent on any instrument. All applicants must have achieved a pass or higher in Grade 5 music theory.
- Interview
- All applicants must pass an RNCM interview prior to entry, demonstrating academic suitability to the course.
