Course summary
Wildlife is in decline around the world due to human impact. If you’re excited to solve global conservation and animal issues, our Animal Biology and Conservation degree is for you.
We will give you the skills to tackle the urgent global ecological crisis. Our teaching staff, with their real-world experience, will train you in the evolutionary origins, ecology, behaviour, and conservation of wildlife.
This degree gives you real-life employability skills. We’ll prepare you for conservation roles around the world, including in countries where trained conservationists are in short supply.

Typical qualification requirements
A level
At least one science subject is required. Examples of science subjects that will be considered include: Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Maths, Physical Education, Physics and Psychology.
T Level
Examples of subjects that will be considered include: Animal Care and Management, Agriculture, Land Management and Production, Health, Healthcare Science, or Science.
UCAS TariffOffer: 120
Including one A Level or a comparable Level 3 qualification in a science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Geography, Maths, Physical Education, Physics and Psychology).
Access to HE Diploma
12 x Level 3 credits in a science subject.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)
Examples of subjects that will be considered include: Applied Science, Forensic Science, Health and Social Care and Sports. BTECs in Animal Management and Countryside Management are also accepted for this programme.

Oxford Brookes University intends to maintain its fees for new and returning Home students at the maximum permitted level.
If you choose the placement option, you can spend your third year on a work placement. During your placement there is a fee which is paid to the university. It covers the cost of your placement tutor, and the support we provide whilst looking for a placement position and during your placement role.
The module fee listed is applicable for part time study.
