Course summary

The Foundation Year is a pre-degree access programme that will provide you with a solid basis for future undergraduate study at the University of Bradford. This course is designed for students who do not have the necessary academic qualifications for registration directly onto a degree course.

The Foundation Year offers an introductory grounding in your chosen discipline and equips you with the study and interpersonal skills necessary for effective undergraduate study.

Successful completion of this programme will enable you to progress to a range of degree programmes in Health and Life Sciences.

UCAS Tariff - 64 points

64 UCAS tariff points to include 1 GCE Advanced Level or an equivalent qualification plus GCSE English at grade C/grade 4 or equivalent.

A level - DDE

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MPP

Access to HE Diploma

Meet UCAS tariff of 64 points, there are no subject specific requirements.

Scottish Higher

64 UCAS tariff points to include one Advanced Higher Level plus SQA Credit standard grade / Intermediate 2 at grade 3 in English and Maths or SQA National 5 grade C in English and Maths.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

As UCAS tariff plus Higher Level grade 3 or Standard Level grade 4 in English.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

64 UCAS tariff points to include one Higher Level subject plus Ordinary Level English Language at grade O4.
