Course summary

Our International Hotel Management BA will equip you with the skills, knowledge and values to become a pioneering leader in the global hospitality industry. Studying in the heart of London, one of the world’s top hospitality hubs, you’ll use the city as your classroom while exploring the dynamic world of international hospitality.

The course combines academic study with hands-on experience, offering a unique blend of theory and practice. You’ll explore key areas of hospitality management, including sustainable operations in food, beverage and accommodation, as well as leadership across diverse cultures. Additionally, you’ll develop critical thinking, creativity and ethical decision-making skills, preparing you to tackle complex challenges in the hospitality industry.

A feature of this programme allows students to apply for paid, part-time placements at selected Marriott hotels, typically involving up to two shifts per week subject to suitability and availability.

Placements are arranged by the University in collaboration with Marriott and are subject to availability and suitability. Students will be considered paid interns, not employees, and pay rates vary depending on the hotel and role. These placements cannot be guaranteed.

You’ll also work on live client briefs, developed in collaboration with industry partners, simulating real-world hospitality challenges. During your studies, you’ll gain the confidence to design and implement innovative solutions for hospitality businesses, always with a focus on sustainability, responsibility and empathy.

By the end of the course, you’ll graduate as a well-rounded hospitality professional, fully prepared for a wide range of roles in international hospitality.
