The MSc Modern Public Service is a taught postgraduate degree programme to help you build a career within a public sector or public sector-facing organisation.

A distinctive element of this course is that it offers students an opportunity to develop a range of practical skills needed to work effectively in a wide range of public sector and public sector-facing roles.

Preparing you for work is a central focus of the programme with core modules on practical workplace skills and an employability module delivered by City St George’s Careers and Employability team. The programme has been designed with direct input from civil servants working within some of the UK Government’s largest ministries and departments and offers direct access to practitioners working across the public sector.
