Our Finance and Accounting postgraduate course will help mould you into a strong decision maker, able to deal with the accounting and finance-related challenges facing local and international organisations in the modern world.
Our Finance and Accounting course encourages you to engage with real-world business problems throughout your studies. Working closely with professional practitioners, you will be exposed to the latest technology and become familiar with the essential digital tools used in the industry. You will also have the opportunity to learn within a live environment in our state-of-the-art Financial Trading Suite, one of the biggest among all UK universities and the first to be powered by Infront Professional Terminal.
Working with the likes of ACCA, CIMA and ICAEW, this course is designed to ensure you are highly skilled upon graduation and enables you to apply for exemptions from professional exams. Our master's in finance and accounting is accredited by CIMA and includes 11 exemptions* from the CIMA qualification, which is achieved through the successful completion of the CIMA Master’s Gateway route.
*Please note: the amount of exemptions you receive will depend on the modules studied, and students completing the PGDip pathway will not receive 11 exemptions.

Tuition fee status depends on a number of criteria and varies according to where in the UK you will study. For further guidance on the criteria for home or overseas tuition fees, please refer to the UKCISA website.
UK:
If you are a UK student enrolling on a Foundation Degree or a BA/BSc at University College Birmingham, your fee for this academic year will be £9,790. A half year tuition fee is £4895.
This is a yearly fee, and will increase with inflation in subsequent years (in line with the government’s permitted rise).
If you are an English student studying your first higher education qualification, you can apply for a tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company.
If you live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, you should apply to Student Finance Wales, Student Finance Northern Ireland, or SAAS.
UCB does not charge for 24 or 48 week placements.
